Pokemon Types Guide
this is the one most important things to know in the game. most people who play have a basic understanding of pokemon types, but there are some details you may be missing. so here is a detailed guide to help you.
S.T.A.B
this stands for Same Type Attack Bonus, and is what the name suggests. any attack that is a type that matches the users type, will be increased in power by 50%. for example, sandslash is a ground type, so it's earthquake becomes 150 rather than 100 in base power due to s.t.a.b. (100 รท 2 = 50 + 100 = 150)
if the attack does not match the user's type, no boost is recieved. meaning that sandslash's rapid spin (a normal attack) remains at 20 base power
